I know it isn't quite finalized, but does anyone else think it a bit strange that it looks almost certain that Alex Neil is going to take the vacant Stoke City job?
I thought Michael O'Neil did an okay job and might think himself a bit unlucky to get the bullet so early in the season.
Alex Neil got Sunderland promoted and they have had a great start to the season. I could understand him going to a Prem team or back to Norwich but I don't see what the attraction of Stoke was for him.
Sunderland attract better home support: bring bigger numbers away: I would have thought they would be at least on par with Stoke in the financial department: There doesn't seem to be much difference in the two teams playing staffs. Can't figure it out, unless the Makems were being proper cheap skates.
Sean Dyche for the Sunderland job anyone?
