Let's assume that I am a technological f*ckwit and even after 10 years of trying to link things to BBS threads, it's all very hit and miss!
So, can anyone explain in plain English why the playback volume on digital music varies so much? Decorating this afternoon has been interrupted by continuously reaching for the remote control to either turn the volume up or down. Why do some songs playback so quietly whilst others try their best to lead to a domestic starting with her shouting 'turn the f*cking music down'!
Is there any way to equalise the playback levels so all songs are at the same volume? Or does this require an afternoon in a set up akin to Abbey Road?
