Right up front I'm assuming we all want us to stay up but if we go down its incredible that for all that money we literally will have not alot (financially) to show for it. It suddenly hit me how for clubs like ours all you get out of the Premier League is a few big days out and bigger crowds. Its a tad worrying that for all this money all the money does indeed go to the players and there's very little left for the ground. For clubs coming up the new TV is SO big that you could make a bit of a profit in the first year or so whilst the wage bill drifts up but eventually all the TV money goes to the players and its a case of managing a break even.
As I said I definitely want to stay up and I continue to lie in bed worrying about every result but I suddenly realised that Palace coming up has meant no material ground improvements (nice cladding on the main stand but zero and I mean zero changes to my match experience), more difficulty in getting tickets for family, a few matches that genuiney aren't worth watching and are a tad embarrasing BUT on the plus side we have had a few marquee days out with my boys at Anfield etc.
All I bit odd that if we go down I'll be getting excited if we get in the playoffs etc. In summary - whats its all for :):)
