Yes, I know the window has only been open a few days, but it's been clear for months that we need a left back urgently. Surely it should be possible to have a deal lined up and ready to go as soon as the window opens? I accept the change of managers might have have some impact, but I'm not at all convinced we would have one in yet had Pardew stayed. Why so slow off the mark when it comes to such a critical signing?
