I posted something like this in the match day thread but thought it was worth further discussion.
For a long time, we have struggled to create anything at home, particularly against any sides who come and sit deep and attempt to defend in a disciplined manner. We struggle to make any real chances for the strikers.
We have all discussed a lot of reasons for this but time and time again, in games like today, I have found Wilf to be really poor. He doesn't seem to open teams up, his crossing is poor and his finishing is awful.
I love Wilf and he is a huge asset (particularly when we counter), he does work hard, but does he do enough to justify selection in these home games? I have doubts. The likes of Bolasie and Puncheon are inconsistent but they do, now and then, come up with decisive moments of quality. I just don't see it from Wilf.
