Has the cat killer had a pop at my cat...

mardi 16 août 2016

And should I call the police?

We have had our cats from birth so they don't tend to stray too far from home, and certainly not for long. Anyone one of them was gone for a few days, not really unusual I admit, cats are known to bugger off for days or weeks sometimes, but yesterday I was starting to get rather worried.

Anyway thankfully he has reappeared today, not only looking rather worse for wear, but very hungry and tired. But... He has weird marks all around his neck. Like clumps of fur missing. I have seen cats after a fight and one or two patches are quite common, but this is all around his neck.

Initially I thought maybe he got his head caught in a fence somewhere. It was only when the other half said about someone doing it to him, maybe the nutter on thr loose I started to think having looked online it seems there have been 5 recent events dotted over Surrey and Kent. Quite frankly I would be sickened if someone has tried to harm a poor innocent cat and much loved family pet.

Not really sure whether it will be taken seriously to be honest? Just going to feed him up and keep an eye on him for a few days, sure he will be ok eventually. He did spend most of the afternoon snuggling up to me, usually he isn't that human interactive so that also seemed slightly odd.

Anyways sorry for rambling... Any pointers and genuine advice much appreciated. :p
