A collective cheer and sigh of relief has greeted the news that Christian Benteke looks likely to sign for the Club. Really hope this goes through.
Benteke cannot singlehandly change our lack of goals. He needs service and support and we need strength in depth on the bench to avoid a relegation scrap this Season after a dire 2016 under Alan Pardew so far.
We now have just over a week to sign another striker and a central midfield creative force at the very least.
With so much time put into the Benteke deal are we now well placed and in advanced stage talks to sign more players ? Very little mention of anyone other than Remy and Bentaleb on this Boards or in the Media.
