Tom Carroll at Spurs has 6 months left on his contract so how about a cheeky bid this January ?
I know midfield isn't necessarily the first area we need to beef up but I can see a lot of advantages in this one:
- Young, English player with plenty of potential and already proven to have an impact coming on in games. 6 months left on contract means he should be affordable with good potential resale value. I mean if we paid £3m for fryers and £5m for Mutch....
- Passing midfielder with high passing accuracy and an eye for a goal. Could see him working in a high energy- high impact a cabaye-MacArthur-Carroll midfield. Definitely a great option to fill in for injuries/ suspensions.
- has a point to prove and working under Pardew may be attractive as well as staying in London. Spurs are blessed in midfield with Alli, dier, dembele and mason (to come back from injury) so could surely be persuaded he would get more chances at Palace.
