Without selling before buying I suspect that Palace have very limited funds for transfers in the January transfer window due to FFP limitations and certainly a lot less than the total cost of the majority of the players linked with the club.
Palace were doing fine before being hit with a spate of injuries to their forwards which in turn has halted their progress and the goals have dried up.
This however is a problem that will be resolved once the injured players return to the side especially Yannick Bolasie whom so much of their counter attacking style is channeled through as he is so difficult to contain due his skill, pace and body strength.
Palace will have to bite the bullet until he returns as a like for like replacement would cost millions.
Palace's forwards may not have contributed many goals but their efforts have resulted in many set-pieces including penalties, free-kicks and corners being won that have resulted in goals for their midfield players and defenders.
Currently it is very unrealistic for fans to expect Palace to sign big money players but this will not always be the case as the club grows and increases its own generated income which will then allow a bigger budget for transfers and player's wages under the terms of FFP which some clubs do not seem to worry about breaching or the consequences of doing so.
Time will tell.
