anybody else noticed, how could you not have noticed, how this season our whole Premier League experience is...well, just...surreal ?
Remember watching Norwich/Villa/Fulham/Sunderland/Bolton playing against ManUre/Arsenal/Liverpool/chelsea .........and you were always shouting for the big money team to spank the minnows ?
in the past, you would watch Palace games, plus dozens of 'other' games. Now, the minnows play the big boys and i find myself watching as a neutral observer - and even supporting the minnows ( especially Bournemouth). Very strange for an eagle when we are actually in the Prem and not clamboring around for a desperate draw against some other team fighting for their life.
Previously you had a couple of teams close to you in the table and you developed a hatred for them because their success spelt your doom. And now, what teams in the table to hate ? Apart from geography ( West ham, chelscum ) and arrogance ( ManUre ) its difficult to really feel vitriolic towards most Prem teams. Many of us like to see little Leicester doing well, and who are our enemies ? some nobody's down in the championship and league one ? Remember the relegation dogfights ? Anybody else on here wants to get misty-eyed about staring at the bottom six teams in the table and nearly having a heart attack every week ? It all seems like a bad nightmare.
