So I'm moving jobs in a few weeks for the first time in nearly three years.
I have a small pension gained the last two years of employment, but my pension knowledge is nearly zero.
What happens to this when moving jobs? I've not had to worry about this before. Does a pension gained so far move across automatically, or would any new contributions from the new employer or me after the start date continue into the existing pension/provider? (assuming I provide the details of the current pot) - but then I guess the new employer will use a different scheme/provider. (I just went with the default scheme when I started it a few years ago)
Googled a little bit, but it's still not that clear.
Any advice welcome!
