The Consequences of Success.

mardi 7 avril 2015

Next season will be tough.

AP came in saying he is here for the long-term, will finish his career here, and that he buys in to the CPFC2010 project of developing the potential of the club.

Now, he is basking in the golden glow of success (very understandable after his torrid Toon period), steadfastly refuses to admit to any "special bond" with Palace, and speculates about "big club management" and "the England job", egged on by the usual media hacks.

AP always had a taste for the bright lights.

At the moment it's "brilliant manager gets a weak squad performing miracles" - shades of bloody Pulis !

Kudos to CPFC2010, for getting him to sign a long contract.

Not only that, the media campaign to unsettle our players has started in earnest.

Now, apparently, the silly old obsequious, bugger Hodgson, who did his bit to wreck Wilf's development, should "look at Palace's back line" (Souare ? Delaney?)

We've seen it all before. The media and punditry can't abide smaller clubs having a modicum of success.

For those who don't like the thought of (big) new money coming into the club; time to reflect on that other, much more common form of asset stripping.

New money is essential to maintain the progress.

We are coming up to a critical point in the club's development - which way will it go ?
