Dear fellow Palace fans,
The trustees of the Crystal Palace Supporters Children's Charity would be grateful if you would read the following post:
CPSCC is a registered charity that raises money to provide two things for disabled children local to Selhurst Park.
Firstly, we buy and host an executive box at Selhurst Park for all home games. This enables up to 9 children and their carers to watch the games in safety and comfort. Most of the children are unable to deal with the crowds and noise in the main part of the stadium. This is their chance to see The Palace and they love it.
Secondly, we organise and fund a Christmas Party for c.130 children and their carers each December in Speronis. This year our patron Bill Nighy was there to meet the children and sign autographs, and the players and some of the coaching staff, including Neil Warnock, served the children with a party tea. We also had a magician, face painters, DJ, Pete & Alice and The Crystals entertaining the children. Then to close it off Santa arrived with presents for every child.
This was the 43rd party. For the first 27 years it was run by the staff of the club. The charity took over when so many of the staff were made redundant during the first period of administration. Originally the charity was called CP-FRIS
All of these things cost money and we try to raise as much as we can through Palace Supporters. To that end, perhaps you might be able to buy some raffle tickets that will be on sale in Crystals before the match against Stoke tomorrow (13th December).
Many thanks,
The Trustees of CPSCC
