It is now at least Day 4 of checking every hour to see whether the Dover tickets have gone on sale and I'm getting pretty weary (and will therefore probably miss the magic moment!).
Away season ticket holders have already been sent details for their allocation etc and have until tomorrow evening to let the club know who wants what.
If the the club knows enough to keep away season ticketholders in the know then they should similarly be letting the rest of us know at least when tickets will go on general sale so we can arrange to be online (or get others to) at the appointed hour.
So far this season there has been no structure in the way tickets have gone on sale. Sometimes we do get a day's notice, other times they go on sale before the main website or Twitter have even announced the fact.
We need a promise that:
a) Ticket details will always be announced at least the day before they go on sale (at the same time the club contacts away season ticketholders?)
b) That announcement will be made simultaneously on the website and social media, not when someone later fancies putting them up
plus,
c) The club will add an extra channel of communication by setting up a separate mailing list for all these advance ticketing announcements. This will help enormously those in jobs involving driving, nursing etc who cannot keep scouring the internet for the information (nor go online when the announcement and actual ticket sales happen at the same moment).
These are very simple things and would reduce stress levels all round. Anyone agree?
