Hi all,
We moved house recently and wanted to bring our Virgin Fibre contract with us as they'd be great in our old house. All seemed fine, all booked in for 2 days after we move in - then the day before they come, everything gets bumped by three weeks because they need to get some permits, and bring cable to the property (which we were not advised when booking the move with them).
Fast forward three weeks and they did the same again, and like clockwork, they have done it again. We have since contacted Sky, who were up an running in less than a week due to the Openreach fibre lines already being in place.
I have spent a great deal of time trying to get through to Virgin to cancel the installation, but can I?! No, I get passed like a parcel from team to team to team and then the line goes dead. The last time I got to the pre-install team I got a direct number for their department. I (obviously) got cut off again, so phone the number, which is just greeted with a pre-recorded message stating that some lines are currently not in use to protect their staff due to COVID.
Has anyone got any nifty tips or tricks to get through to them? (Aware this is a stab in the dark)
