Just a heads up that travel by rail will may be severely disrupted especially on longer routes and those coming from the Midlands, North and North East.
At present (1955hrs Friday) Kings Cross and St Pancras stations are effectively closed to trains due to power supply problems possibly until the end of the day. This means that it is likely some long distance trains may not be in place at the end of the day to start their normal services into London on Saturday morning.
On Saturday high winds are also forecast so there is a risk of trees coming down on to lines which affects all travel routes. Lines supplied by overhead power wires are especially vulnerable and it may be possible that widespread speed restrictions may be in place to protect the wires during Saturday.
Generally if you are travelling by train Saturday check National Rail and be prepared to make allowances especially if travelling long distances.
