Hi,
Just wondered if anyone else is getting these calls.
Every day and often several times a day I get calls from this 0203 number that starts with a foreign sounding voice (sounding typically from one part of Asia or another). They get my surname right but mostly get the first name wrong but I don't comment obviously. They 'just want to ask 3 simple questions'. The first time I politely replied that I don't do telephone surveys with complete strangers. With this having gone on for weeks now I have matured this through a series of polite explanations as to why they should stop ringing. My most consistent successes so far have come with the recent response of:
Good Morning, is this call from Infotronics?
----Errrm, ....Yes
Excellent. Your call has been diverted to the Metropolitan Police, Fraud Division. Can I have your name and address please?
----Very sorry for bothering you Sir, thank you, Bye.
My mood and the timing define the response but it is gob-smacking how hard they try to keep me on the phone. This one seems to keep the call shorter than most.
I almost had one convinced that I could see them on a remote police camera. 'Yes, I can see you, I am sure it is you, dark hair and you just turned around didn't you' being almost enough. Hmmm maybe I should go work for them, just what they are looking for.
Send me your phone numbers and I will give you all a call while I am earning the big bucks :)
