Things You Remember From Your Childhood?

dimanche 6 septembre 2015

There are little moments in my brain that I can recall as if they happened yesterday but others I remember but no where near as clearly. I am sure it is the same with everyone?

I can recall watching Churchill's funeral in black and white on the telly but I would have only been 3 nearly 4 but I remember it clears as day. But I don't remember England winning the World Cup in 1966.

I remember my very Victorian granny telling me off for not eating all of an apple when I was about 7 on a picnic near Birling Gap, in fact I reckon I could probably go to the exact spot where it happened.

I can recall my uncle a very posh successful architect telling me off for climbing a wall where they lived and saying I would never be as successful as my older brother if I continued acting the fool when I was 10.

I remember England playing Italy at Wembly on the 14th November 1973 and for some reason I remember Princess Anne being something to do with it? I was 12. So I just googled it and she got married that day and it turned out Capello scored the winner.

Why are these things clear as day in my memory, is it because they were things I perceived as negatives?
