Amazing after seeing this on tv news that all 172 passengers and crew escaped.
What really amazes me though is how many passengers you see walking away from the burning plane on the runway carrying luggage. Some are even pulling suitcases on wheels. Now surely if you are in a confined space and it's filling up with smoke the last thing you would think about is rummaging in the overhead lockers for your belongings. What were the flight attendants doing. Surely they wouldn't be standing there asking people to please hurry up and get your gear and get off.
Apparently 14 people were injured on the emergency shutes. I wander if that was from suitcases.
