From the Training Ground with Palace Radio pre Cardiff (A)

jeudi 3 avril 2014

Marouane Chamakh has trained all week and looks 'Ready to go' for Cardiff, but TP said he would have to see if he starts him, or has him on the bench on Saturday - he will make that decision nearer to the game. No other injuries mentioned.

He describes us as 'Underdogs' for this game and for the rest of the season. He's playing everything down and says that this match will probably be even harder than the Chelsea game.

He said there is a great spirit within the group of players and they have been 'exceptional'.

When asked about Julian Speroni, TP said 'he made one great save second half'. He said as soon as they know which League we will be in next season, he will sit down with Julian and the other 6 or 7 players who are out of contract in the summer. Nothing will be done until our fate is known.

No points target set, because he said it 'ebbs & flows'.

Being a Welshman, he says he wants Cardiff to survive, and football to be successful in Wales in general, but there will be no sentiment on Saturday.

When asked about Jose's comment that he should be 'Manager of the Year' if Palace stay up, TP said 'He knows what he's talking about that fella':D which raised a few chuckles amongst the media hacks!
