I come again to the font of all knowledge, the BBS, seeking the answer to a rather techie question:
If I type an IPCONFIG /RELEASE command on a windows PC, on a windows network with a DHCP server (not at home with the router doing DHCP) how long is it before the actual address I have realesed is available in the DHCP pool again?
I suspect the answer may have something to do with the length of lease on the address, but other than that I haven't a clue.
A virtual pint (or beverage of your choice up to the value of a pint) to the best answer. :p
TIA.
