What are the tax implications? As when you buy a UK stock are you taxed at the point of purchase? Some sort of US equivalent of stamp duty?
Are there any other rules or pitfalls I need to be aware of?
My UK share trading platform seems to give me the ability to do it but unhelpfully doesn’t give me any information.
I’m interested in the Alibaba flotation.
