Surprised no MOTM rating thread but I’ll put my thoughts here.
Just got home about 15 minutes ago, they decided to close the M1 and M25 at certain junctions so took the scenic route! What a ballache! Decent enough day/eve out, however, in our half empty upper tier. :D
I thought we were quite poor in that first half. The way we have been playing up until Wolves is by supporting the wingers inside and outside, the full back making the run outside and the attacking mids attacking the half spaces inside. However with Lokonga and Hughes we just didn’t have that threat and Eze and Olise constantly found themselves isolated.
When Eze moved inside and Schlupp came on, we looked a completely different outfit.
I think Richards was good, especially when he moved to CB.
The strikers Eddy and Mateta just aren’t staking any claim, Ayew was better when he went wide but I’d still say he’s the best option up top of Wilf is coming back for the West Ham.
