Toying with the idea (and it is very much at the scribbling on a napkin stage of things) of perhaps dipping a toe into the travel agency business.
It would only be a case of advertising on-line various apartments along with health spa trips and so on in the Balkans with perhaps a line in helping organized guided coach tours. Got the contacts in place to deal with the actual nitty-gritty of it all and the role I would envisage in the UK would be purely on the marketing side but I am a little bit wary around all this ABTA stuff and so on.
Do you need to be formally licensed ? Or can you just act as a middle man ?
I do need to stress that this is nothing more than pie in the sky but we get constant requests to advertise peoples properties in Croatia and the UK tourist is still seen in a positive way in that part of the world so I am thinking 'maybe'.
