Looking for some help.
I want to read a book about the British Army experience in Afghanistan since 2001. Ideally I want something that deals with the time that the average squaddie might have had of it in terms of how a posting might have panned out, where they would have served and so on.
Always a little bit wary of the sort of blood and guts memoirs that have come out of our recent spate of military encounters so would appreciate anybody who might have direct military experience pointing me in the direction of any books that have that genuine tone to it other than one's they might feel just have an eye out for a quick buck. Thanks.
