I left bright and early for the match last Saturday after the Chelsea debacle (90 minute trip, vomit in car, no parking, missed match) and got to Holmesdale Road about 1.30. Parked up and went to pay at machine but it ate £2.40 so having no more change to lose I drove around until i found a free place to park in Oliver Grove. However, I wanted to know, has anyone else lost money in these machines? They have quite recently changed the coin slot. It used to be a flat slot that faces you but now has a plastic/rubber covering it so you have to feed the coins in sideways, and try as i might, this machine wasn't having it. No coin eject, just took the money.
