Predict that there will a large upswing in people buying the away season ticket next season. Suits the club because the sales are guaranteed and it's probably less hassle but I think you will get people doing it with a view to
* going to some games they really want to
* skipping the less glamorous ones, possibly trying to sell the ticket on to avoid losses
* selling the tickets for the bigger games at a profit - clearly the market is there
* getting the maximum amount of points
Personally I'd scrap the system and let each game be bought on it's own merits - keeping the points method in place but making sure it's concrete. If that can't be done then some sort of proof of attendance.
I'd almost suspect that someone could buy an away season ticket with no intent to go to any games and probably finish up financially by the season end - doubling your money and more on the big games, selling half the other games and just losing the remainder.
